A beautiful erect growing bamboo widely known for its high quality wood. The source of wood for the famous split bamboo flyrods of "Tonkin Bamboo". Tonkin bamboo has large bright green leaves on short erect growing brances. A native of a limited mountainous area in Southern China, it has grown to a confirmed height of 40 feet in the coastal areas of the southeast.

Bamboo fences are wholly made in Tonkin bamboo. They are woven on a machine ueing copper clad steel wire in five rows. They are delivered in rolls, normally 8'long. They are 6 feet high, although can be cut to less. Custom order is acceptable."
